Rates

Booking fee - £50.00 per day 
Attendance fee - £44.30 per hour 
Minimum charge - £177.10 
Extending notes - £7.25 per page (We estimate one hour of speech to be roughly 40 pages) 
Extending notes - £8.85 per page [Expedite rate] 
Additional copies of notes - £0.61 per page 
Travel time - £22.15 per hour

Expenses
All travel and accommodation expenses where applicable will be charged at cost. If your case is outside the Glasgow area there is a likelihood that we will need to arrange accommodation as well as travel. Please contact us if you require further information. 

Cancellation policy 
Booking cancelled within 15 working days: £75.00 per day cancelled.
Booking cancelled within 10 working days: £100.00 per day cancelled.
Booking cancelled within 1 working day: £125.00 per day cancelled.

Cancellation fees are applicable should Larking Hodge Pollock be given less than 15 working days’ notice of a shorthand writer not being required to attend due to cancellation. Please note that Saturday and Sunday are not included in the period of notice for cancellation. 

Payment Terms 
Our terms of payment are strictly 30 days from date of invoice. 

Charges subject to VAT. Cancellation and booking fees are not subject to VAT. Charges are in accordance with the Act of Sederunt (Fees of Witnesses and Shorthand Writers in Sheriff Court) 2016. No. 316. 

Terms and Conditions 
LHP cannot be held responsible for any circumstances that may prevent LHP from attending your court/event, these may include but are not limited to; severe weather conditions, traffic delays, breakdown of our vehicles, sickness or equipment failure. If LHP cannot attend due to events beyond LHP’s control, LHP will contact you or the venue as soon as possible. In these circumstances LHP’s liability will be limited to refunding all of monies paid to LHP.
